Sharing Cultures
There is no substitute for finding out about how people of other cultures and in other countries live than going out and working alongside them. Our Charity has been able to do this by taking groups of students to Kenya to work as volunteers at Unity School. We have also arranged for adult groups to visit, especially school teachers with experience to share with our Kenyan colleagues.
In return these people have been able to share their experiences with their families, friends and often with school or church groups. We have also arranged visits to the UK for two Kenyan teachers. Their programme has included school visits where they have spoken in assemblies and shared class teaching. They have also spoken at meetings of our supporters and in local churches.
In October 2014 we held an exhibition “From Sun to Slum” to illustrate the contrasting nature of Kenya.
In 2015 we arranged a “Skype” with the Orphanage on Christmas Day.

Churches
When the Charity was first set up, most of our support and very much encouragement, came from two churches in Rustington: The Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul and its very near neighbour, Rustington Methodist Church.
Since then we are grateful to the congregations of churches near and far: Linslade Parish Church, Littlehampton United Church, United Reformed Churches at Swanage and Pagham, and many more.
